Report: Lenny Dykstra Suing L.A. Police Claiming Brain Damage

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Philadelphia Phillies player Lenny Dykstra says he was beat by corrupt cops during his time in Los Angeles County jail, according to a TMZ report.

Dykstra is reportedly suing the L.A. Country Sheriff's Department for $15 million, claiming he has suffered brain damage and was beaten within "inches of his life" in 2012 when he served time for bankruptcy fraud.

According to TMZ, Dykstra says one deputy whistled Take Me Out To The Ballgame while physically punishing him and six deputies beat him so badly, "his teeth were broken out of his skull."

Dykstra---who is reportedly claiming he is still without teeth and has trouble eating to along with brain damage---believes there was video evidence of the attacks, which may have been destroyed.
