RECAP: Sixers lose to the Charlotte Hornets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Al Jefferson had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and the Charlotte Hornets put five players in double figures in a 113-88 victory over Philadelphia on Friday night that kept the 76ers winless.

The Sixers dropped to 0-13 and haven't won since last March 27.

The Hornets, meanwhile, improved to 7-6, and are now 5-1 at home after winning their last five home contests.

Point guard Kemba Walker added 20 points and seven assists for Charlotte, which led by as much as 26.

Nerlens Noel led the Sixers with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first game he has not started this season.

The Hornets jumped to an early, dominating lead thanks to the first-half performance of Jefferson. The 6-foot-10 center missed his first two attempts, but then sank six straight field goals. He led all players at halftime with 18 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
