Weather: Brief Cool Down

By Geoffrey Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A day after hitting 70 degrees for the 4th time in November, Philadelphia will see a brief cool down on Tuesday.

A "backdoor" cold front that dropped down from the northeast allowed high pressure to build in, but also kicked up a cool northeast airflow off of the water, so highs today will reach the upper 50s as opposed to upper 60s.

If you like warmer weather though, it creeps back into the picture on Wednesday and Thursday. Both days will be in the 60s, but rain unfortunately returns as well. Wednesday will be more of a cloudy day, with perhaps some breaks of sun early on. Thursday is the wetter day, with a large cold front moving though that will bring a quick soaking to the Delaware Valley. Then, much like last week, we dry things out on Saturday with cooler weather in time for the weekend.
