Aspiring Football Stars Get New Equipment, Hang Out With "Swoop"

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) --   Philadelphia Eagles Tight End Zach Ertz paid a visit to dozens of Pee Wee football players in Norristown as they received their new helmets, pads, practice jerseys and cheer uniforms... a donation worth $20,000.

"I'm still just like them in my heart and for them to know everything they want to accomplish in life is attainable," Ertz tells Eyewitness News.

Ertz signed autographs and answered questions from the kids who play in Norristown's Youth Football League grades K-6... both players and cheerleaders too.
The kids also got to take pictures with Eagles cheerleaders and the mascot Swoop.

For every touch down the Eagles score this year, money is donated to the Youth Football Program in the Philadelphia area.
