96-Year-Old WWII Vet Refuses To Retire

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ – 96-year-old World War II Veteran Salvatore DeSanto refuses to really retire.

He was laid off from a maintenance job in June that he started when he was 65, and now he is looking for new work.

He says he can clean, paint and fix things, but only wants to work part time.

"I'll try anything once but I want a light job, not a heavy job, and I don't want any weekends. I want to enjoy my weekends. Whatever is left of them anyhow," says DeSanto.

It's not about needing money, it's about staying busy.

"My body keeps saying no but I say yes. What are you gonna do when you're this old?," jokes DeSanto.
