Camden Man Gets 15-Year Term In Scheme To Illegally Sell 22 Guns
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A Camden man is headed to prison for his role in the sale of 22 guns that were obtained in South Carolina and sold in New Jersey
Federal prosecutors say 24-year-old Joseph Rutling recently received a 15-year sentence. He also will also have to serve three years of supervised release once he's freed.
Rutling and his older brother, 33-year-old Marcus Rutling, both pleaded guilty in March to charges of conspiring to deal firearms without a license and possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. The elder Rutling lives in Camden and Saluda, South Carolina
Prosecutors say that from April 2013 and July 2014, the brothers conspired with others to illegally sell numerous firearms without a license, including handguns, shotguns and an assault rifle.
