WEATHER: Cold Blast Won't Last

By Geoffrey Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a chilly weekend that saw reports of snow across the northeast, Monday morning was the coldest day the Delaware Valley has seen in over six months. After reaching a morning low of 35°, you'd have to go back to April Fool's Day to find the last day that Philadelphia dropped to that level.

Before you throw in the towel on fall, there will be a significant warming trend over the next few days. 50's today will rebound to the 60's on Tuesday, and continue right into the 70's on Wednesday and Thursday!

This is just another example of how volatile transitional seasons can be. Couple in the fact that the weather will stay dry and mainly sunny this week, and you're talking about some 'A' weather coming up!

Quite the different story from out current situation.
