Police: 4 Sought In North Philadelphia Home Invasion

By Diana Rocco

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a home invasion in North Philadelphia.

Police say it happened Friday night at the 1900 block of W. Diamond Street.

A home invasion robbery just off Temple University's campus has police looking for four men.

"They robbed the victim of his wallet, his watch, jewelry and cell phone. During the robbery for some reason one of the perpetrators struck the victim in his forehead with a gun," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Just before 7 p.m. Friday, police say the suspects entered the apartment building on the 1900 block of W. Diamond Street through an open front door going to the second floor apartment where a 26-year-old man answered the door and was confronted by the men, two carrying guns. That's when police say they robbed and pistol whipped the victim.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating.
