Death Inside Bucks County Correctional Facility Ruled A Homicide

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The death of Bucks County Correctional Facility inmate has been ruled a homicide.

Few details being released, but the death stems from an incident between two male inmates of the Bucks County prison.

One of the men was taken to the Abington Hospital Emergency Room. He died from what officials say is a head injury on Monday.

"An autopsy was conducted and it was ruled a homicide at this point so our office as well as the Bucks County Correctional Facility are investigating."

Bucks County deputy district attorney Kristi Hoover says, during the investigation, they're not releasing the identity of the victim or of the other inmate. County officials also won't say why the men were in prison. Hoover says they hope to release more information this week.
