Crews Work To Repair Water Main Break In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del., (CBS) – Police are advising drivers of road closures as crews work to repair a water main break in Wilmington, Delaware.

Wilmington Police are advising motorists of traffic restrictions in the area of 2nd Street and N. Broom Street due to a water main break.

Police say all westbound traffic on W. 2nd Street is closed at Franklin Street and traffic will be detoured north on Franklin Street to 4th Street.

Additionally, police say northbound traffic on Franklin Street is closed at Lancaster Avenue as well as southbound traffic on Broom Street is closed at 3rd Street. Traffic will be detoured east on 3rd from Broom Street.

Police say there is no estimated time of closure as crews continue to work on scene repairing the break.

Police say motorists are urged to use caution if traveling in the area and to expect possible delays.
