Authorities: Montgomery County Attorney Accused Of Rape

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An attorney in Montgomery County, the son of a longtime judge, is facing charges he allegedly drugged and raped a client.

Fifty-six-year-old Vincent Cirillo, Jr., the son of the late Superior Court Judge Vincent Cirillo, is facing several felony charges, including rape of an unconscious person and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

According to court documents, Cirillo met with the alleged victim at her West Norriton apartment on August 3rd. The two were allegedly drinking alcohol, and the alleged victim claims Cirillo slipped something in her drink. While she was allegedly unconscious, she says he raped her.

Investigators say they monitored a conversation five days after the alleged rape between the two, where Cirillo allegedly confirmed the two had intercourse, and he acknowledged she was unable to sit in a chair or climb stairs.

But in a statement to police, Cirillo admitted to sexual contact but denied intercourse.

He's free on $100,000 bail, and has waived his preliminary hearing.
