Pa. Supreme Court Releases Porn Emails Involved In Kane Case

By Tony Romeo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The state Supreme Court has released dozens of pornographic images contained in emails that were sent or received by former employees of the state attorney general's office.

Earlier this month, Attorney General Kathleen Kane told reporters that the charges filed against her were the result of an attempt by those involved in the porn email chain to cover up their activities. She also called for the release of the emails.

The state Supreme Court has now unsealed those emails, along with dozens of other documents related to the Kane probe, at the request of the judge supervising the grand jury that investigated Kane.

Among those documents is a motion filed last year, in which Kane's lawyers allege that former prosecutors involved in the emails "manufactured" the grand jury probe to protect themselves. That investigation resulted in charges against Kane related to alleged violation of grand jury secrecy.

The emails released by the Supreme Court Wednesday range from fully or partially nude women to hardcore images.
