Authorities say Quan lives in Folcroft with relatives and is a student at Sharon Hill Elementary School. He was last seen in the area of King Avenue and Chester Pike, possibly with a group of juveniles.

Officials say Quan has been known to ride his bike into Southwest and West Philadelphia, but he has never run away or gone missing.

Authorities describe him as a black male,  5'3" tall, 125 pounds with a light brown complexion. He was last known to be wearing a blue and white collared shirt, blue denim jeans, black sneakers and was carrying a grey backpack.

Officials say his bike is a spray-painted gold-colored mountain bike with straight handlebars and a hand-painted orange stripe on the frame.

"We are hurting, we are just in so much pain," said Lattimore's cousin.

Late Wednesday afternoon, authorities discovered a body in a creek, near the boy's home.

His family is awaiting word from the medical examiner regarding the identity of the body.

Anyone with information about Laquan's whereabouts is urged to call the tip-line number for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678)
