Weather: One Last Hot And Humid Day

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia has now reached a week straight of 90° days, the longest stretch in over two years. Expect one more on Tuesday before the streak comes to an end.

Showers and thunderstorms rumbled through this morning, some of them even achieving severe status. They have now died down and moved away, and skies are already beginning to brighten.

It will be a primarily sunny day, with just a few clouds, although there will be a slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm later on in the day for the southern portion of the area. It will be another steamy day before turning less humid for the remainder of the week.

Wednesday will be a comfortably warm day, but temperatures will then tumble to below average by the end of the week as a storm approaches from the west.
