Flyers Agree To Multi-Year Extension With Jakub Voracek

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers announced on Thursday that the team has agreed to terms with Jakub Voracek on a multi-year contract extension, according to Ron Hextall.

TSN's Frank Seravalli reports, the deal is for eight years worth $66 million.

Voracek led the Flyers with 81 points (career-high, fourth in the NHL) and 59 assists (career-high, second in the NHL) in 2014-15. He was third on the team with 22 goals.

The 25-year-old also posted career-highs in power-play goals (11), power-play points (33) and game-winning goals (3).

Voracek was named the winner of the Bobby Clarke Trophy as the Flyers MVP for 2014-15. It was second time he won the award (2012-13).

The Flyers acquired Voracek in June of 2011 from the Blue Jackets.

For his career, Voracek has recorded 124 goals to go along with 248 assists.
