New Delivery Service In Philadelphia Brings Beer To Your Door Quickly

By Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There's a new delivery service in Philadelphia that brings cold beer to your door quickly.

While reopening his beer cafe 'Hawthornes' after a fire in January, owner Chris Fetfatzes decided to launch a beer delivery service called Quick Sip.

"I did some digging and some research, I lobbied and petitioned Harrisburg directly," Fetfatzes says. "I pleaded my case as to why I feel and believe this should be allowed with how the law is written and they agreed with me."

Quick Sip will allow most Center City and South Philadelphia residents to order growlers, ciders, local and imported beers online.

"Its pretty much like a white glove service," Fetfatzes says, "where your Quick Sip driver shows up with your six pack or two six packs in hand, you kindly show him or her your ID, the transaction is done and over with."

And like its name, the service is quick!

"We've been averaging 23 minutes from the time our users hit submit," he says.

Fetfatzes is in the process of developing a Quick Sip app and hopes to expand his delivery service to include wine and spirits.
