Police: 1 Dead In Roosevelt Boulevard Accident In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say one person is dead after an accident along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police say it happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday at Roosevelt Boulevard and Conwell Avenue.

According to police, a Nissan Maxima was heading northbound on Roosevelt Boulevard in the inner lanes towards Conwell Street when the driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle and crossed over into the outer lanes.  Police say the vehicle then made contact with a tree.

Police say he suffered head and chest injuries and was pronounced on the scene by medics at 9:05 p.m.
