Philadelphia Police Offer Reward For Information On Suspect Involved In Murder

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Police are seeking the public's help in locating Quameer Smith who police say is wanted for his involvement in the murder of a 22-year old man.

Smith, 21, resides on the 4100 block of Poplar Street. Authorities describe Smith as 6'5", 200 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair. Police add that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police responded to a shooting on the 5700 block of Woodcrest Avenue on Tuesday, June 9. When officers arrived, they found the 22-year old suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was later pronounced dead at Presbyterian Hospital.

There is a $20,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Smith is asked to contact the Homicide Division at 215-686-3334 or call 911.
