Cops: Delaware Man Arrested For 7th DUI Offense
MAGNOLIA, Del. (CBS) – Police say a man has been arrested for his seventh DUI offense after he was involved in an accident south of Magnolia in Delaware over the weekend.
Around 8:15 p.m. Sunday night, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South State Street and West Birdie Lane.
Police say they noticed Philippe Koehring had an odor of alcohol emanating from him and a DUI investigation ensued.
Officials say Koehring was brought back to Troop 3 and charged with his seventh DUI offense.
He had previously been convicted in 2008, 2006, 1996, Dec. 1990, March 1990 and 1987, according to police.
Authorities say he was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $5,100.00 cash only bond.
