Study Claims 'Mom Brain' Is Real

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new study claims "mom brain" is real.

As it turns out, motherhood and pregnancy can actually alter the brain.

Researchers found that pregnancy may change the way the brain responds to hormone therapy later in life.

Animal studies found hormone therapy was less effective on rats with children than on those who had never given birth.

Hormone therapy is generally used to treat brain disorders in middle-aged and older women.
