Worker Dies After 80-Foot Fall At University City Construction Site

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A construction worker died after falling 80 feet at a site in University City Friday.

Philadelphia Police say it happened just after 8 a.m. in the 2900 block of Chestnut Street.

Police say the 42-year-old man fell about 80-feet to the ground at the construction site.

He was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 9 a.m.

The victim's identity was not immediately known.

The fatal incident remains under investigation.
