Ron Jaworski Displays Fighting Spirit At Soul Home Opener
By Ray Boyd
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some owners in professional sports are very quiet and behind the scenes. Others are their team's biggest fans and some tend to be very hands on. Soul owner Ron Jaworski took hands on to a new level at the Soul home opener this past Sunday.
In the closing seconds of the second quarter, the Soul held a seven point lead over the Jacksonville Sharks as the Sharks were marching down the field. A completed pass and tackle led to a little scuffle between the Soul and the Sharks.
Unlike the NFL, the fans are pretty close to the action in the Arena League and on this day, that included Jaworski.
The scuffle took place right in front of Jaworski on the sidelines. Let's just say Jaws decided to swim with the Sharks.
No, Jaworski did not jump right into the action, but it did seem like some of his playing days enthusiasm made a return as he intervened on behalf of his team.

You can see Jaworski yelling down to the players and referees. At one point he even puts his hands on the shoulders of one of the Sharks players to allow him to make his point a little more clearly.
Jaworski took a seat after the situation was cleaned up, but it was clear that he was not at all happy.
That type of passion from an owner can never be a bad thing. Where other than the Arena League would you be able to see that type of action on the sidelines?
The Soul went on to defeat the Sharks 63-52 to advance to 3-0 on the season. Perhaps the players were inspired by their owners' passion.
