Phillies Sign Pitcher Dustin McGowan
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. announced the signing of RHP Dustin McGowan on Saturday night. The deal is a one-year major league contract.
McGowan, 33, started the 2014 season as a starter in the Blue Jays rotation before being moved to the bullpen in May. He registered a 3.35 ERA in 45 games as a reliever.
McGowan pitched for the Dodgers this spring and was released after seven appearances and a 6.75 ERA.
