Driver Faces Numerous Counts Following 2 Hit-And-Run Crashes

WAYNE, N.J. (AP) — Numerous charges have been filed against a northern New Jersey man who authorities say injured two other drivers in separate hit-and-run crashes that occurred minutes apart.

Wayne Township police say they found several bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the pickup truck driven by 32-year-old Christopher Crossnohere, of Jefferson. The discovery came after Crossnohere told them his license was inside the truck.

Both crashes occurred around 9 a.m. Friday.

Officers found Crossnohere's pickup in a supermarket parking lot shortly after the second crash, when the driver of the vehicle he allegedly struck told them it was there.

A telephone number for Crossnohere could not be located Saturday, and it wasn't known if he's retained a lawyer.

The two injured drivers were treated at hospitals for head and neck pain.
