Cops: Suspects, Both 16, Struck Teen In Head With Rock, Stole His Bike In South Jersey

SICKLERVILLE, N.J. (CBS) -- Two 16-year-old boys hit another teen in the head with a rock and then stole his bike, police said.

The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. on March 23rd in Sicklerville, New Jersey.

According to the Winslow Township Police Department, the two suspects, both 16-years-old, approached a teen male and struck him in the head with a rock.

After assaulting the teen, police say the suspects then stole the victim's bike.

A Winslow Township patrol officer located the suspects and took them into custody. The stolen bike was also recovered.

The juveniles were charged with 1st degree armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

They were taken to the Camden County Lakeland Juvenile Facility.

The victim required medical attention for several lacerations to his head.
