Local Mom Organizes Buyback Program For Recalled Strollers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A local mom is working to get potentially dangerous strollers out of the hands of parents.

Tracy Panese, who helps organize Philadelphia area consignment events, is hosting a buyback program for recalled Graco strollers.

Though the strollers were recalled in 2010, Tracy discovered that many parents still held onto them – last year, she pulled dozens from a consignment event that people had brought to sell.

Along with consignment event organizers Just Between Friends of Western Main Line and Just Between Friends of Reading, Panese is running the program to help families turn in recalled Graco Alano, Passage or Spree strollers.

Parents who turn in these strollers from March 18th through 22nd at the Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks will be offered $25 in Just Between Friends bucks per stroller.
