Legal Analyst On Hillary Email Scandal; Exposes Bigger Problems In The White House

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --
Legal analyst for the Fox News Channel, Jeanine Pirro, spoke with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT midday host Dom Giordano about Hillary Clinton's email scandal.

"She's got a lot of explaining to do, but this is typical Clinton. It's typical Clinton not in the sense of it's not serious and it couldn't be a crime, but they kind of just think that they're above the law—that they can do things differently."

Pirro feels that the media has toned down its coverage of it because they do not want it to look like they are attacking her for political reasons.

"As we know, the Clintons do a lot of things, and whether or not they're accountable we don't know, and obviously we're coming up to a presidential election and maybe it's just that some people might say 'Let's just let it go, don't want it to look like we're going after her for politics,' but she was supposed to sign a statement saying that she had basically turned everything over."

The story as it has been reported so far is not even what has bothered the host of the Saturday night show Justice with Judge Jeanine the most.

"The State Department was going to court on Freedom of Information requests like you and I and other people make all the time, and the State Department said 'Oh no, we don't have anything on that,' when all along they had no access to anything she had written. To me, if I'm that federal judge sitting there, I am not happy."

She believes that this scandal exposes an even bigger problem within our government: people covering up for others' mistakes, and it starts with both of the Clintons.

"They make you wait and they hope that the next news cycle will cover something else. That's what she tried to do initially by not even responding to this email stuff. For a woman to not have any emails on Benghazi and her trips to Libya and for the State Department again to represent to the Congressional oversight committee that had subpoenaed those records, that 'we don't have any,' that just tells me that they didn't look at anything and that everybody is just covering for everyone else. It is disgusting."
