Police: Pennsylvania Man Used 'Jesus' License Plate To Assault Brother
POINT MARION, Pa. (AP) -- State police say one brother used a "Jesus" vanity license plate to assault another when they fought in Pennsylvania.
Forty-five-year-old James Wiles, of Springhill Township, is charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly throwing the plate at his 47-year-old brother during an argument Feb. 24.
Police say Wiles' brother was cut badly enough by the plate's sharp edge that he required treatment by paramedics.
Wiles was supposed to face a preliminary hearing on the charges Tuesday, but that was postponed until March 31.
That's when a district judge in Fayette County must determine whether he'll stand trial.
Wiles' public defender didn't immediately return a call Wednesday.
