Suspects Flee After Car Crashes Through North Philly Bank
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a car crashed into a bank in North Philadelphia early Thursday morning after striking another vehicle.
This happened just before 2 a.m. at the United Bank of America at Broad and Jefferson Streets.
According to police, the driver of an Escalade ran a red light and crashed into another car, causing the Escalade to crash through the front window and door of the bank. The car also struck an ATM machine and knocked over lights, leaving things a mess at the bank.
At least three people inside the Escalade got out after the crash and left the scene.
No injuries were reported to the driver of the vehicle that was struck by the Escalade.
Police are on the scene investigating the crash, along with L&I.
The bank is not expected to be open on Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation.
