CAPE MAY, N.J. (CBS) -- The Cape May-Lewes Ferry will not be operating Thursday afternoon due to significant ice in the Cape May canal and the Delaware Bay.

The first round-trip scheduled for Friday is also canceled.

Ferry operations also say that the 7:30 a.m. departure from Cape May, New Jersey and the 9:15 a.m. from Lewes, Delaware will not operate on Friday.

Due to anticipated frigid temperatures overnight, additional departures may be affected.
