Cops: Teen Charged With Homicide Took 'Selfie' With Victim

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Investigators say a 16-year-old Pennsylvania boy charged with killing another teen sent a third boy a selfie that showed the victim shot in the face and sitting in a chair.

The family of suspect Maxwell Morton says he doesn't have an attorney. Relatives declined to comment Monday.

Morton was arrested last week by Westmoreland County detectives and police in Jeannette, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Police say investigators searched Morton's home on Friday and found the 9mm pistol they believe he used to shoot 16-year-old Ryan Mangan in his home two days earlier.

The mother of the boy who received the selfie contacted police. In addition to showing Morton's picture, the image had the name Maxwell across the top.

Mangan's funeral was Monday.
