NBA Generator Allows You To Create Your Ultimate Mt. Rushmore

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Anytime we find ourselves taking part in "greatest of all-time," discussions, we typically put some type of parameters on it. A popular filtering process used in basketball-junkie circles is the Mt. Rushmore structure.

NBA.com has created a generator pre-loaded with the best players of all-time, which allows fans to create and share their own Mt. Rushmore. You can name your grouping and once complete, the generator gives you an image and fills you in on the four names you selected.

The generator tells you how many MVP awards your group earned combined as well as titles, points per game average, rebounds average, assists average and All-NBA selections.

Of course, the first group I had to make was an All-Time Sixers group that I so creatively named the "Philly Phour."

Allen Iverson, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain and Charles Barkley made up my list. This grouping earned three championships, seven MVP awards and combined to earn 35 All-NBA selections.

The different combinations you can do with the generator are actually pretty interesting. You can make your Mt. Rushmore of different teams, positions, eras or whatever else you can think of.

Obviously, you can tackle the "Top 4," players of all-time discussions, but no one can universally decide on that list.

Here is my attempt, just to throw it out there.

Check out the generator if you have some free time and share your NBA Mt. Rushmore.
