Weather: Cold But Quiet

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Skies have cleared and the winds are dying down. But one fact remains: it is COLD! Our friend Punxsutawney Phil is 1 for 1 so far on that whole '6 more weeks of winter' thing.

A few things to keep in mind as you head out this morning; first, bundle up! The wind chills might not be as fierce as they were overnight, but they shouldn't be taken lightly.

Secondly, be cautious on your morning drive. The high winds aided the road crews in drying many roadways, but there are still several icy spots do to the quick freeze from yesterday. If you see a sheen on the roadways, it is ice!

The sunshine will last through the day tomorrow, accompanied by a few extra clouds. Temperatures on Wednesday will take a positive change, reaching the low to mid 40s.

Another minor bump in the road into the first half of Thursday, as a few snow showers could slow the morning commute. Thankfully, hardly any accumulation is expected with this next 'clipper' system.

Weather remains quiet through the first half of the weekend. We're keeping an eye out for potential snow Sunday into Monday.
