Top 5 Athletes We Wish We Could Be

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- In the midst of the "Deflategate", 94WIP Morning Show co-host Ben Davis had an idea for an Audio Roadshow question on Thursday. Which athlete would you rather be in your next life: Derek Jeter or Tom Brady?

Jeter won the vote, barely, 53-percent to 47-percent, just minutes after Bill Belichick addressed the media about "Deflategate" and shifted the situation to Brady.

That got me thinking. Who are the top five current athletes, which rules out Jeter, we wish we could be?

5. Patrick Kane

I had to get at least one hockey guy on the list.

"Kaner", just 26-years-old, already has two Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe Trophy. Last summer, Kane signed an eight-year contract extension with the Blackhawks for an average of about $10.5 million per season.

Ps. He knows how to party

4. Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers, 31, is one of the most-liked athletes in the world and arguably the greatest quarterback to ever play. Rodgers has already won one Super Bowl and continues to knock on the door every single year.

Ps. He's dating Olivia Munn.

3. LeBron James

King James is just 30-years-old is already in the running for greatest basketball player ever. He's already a two-time champion, a four-time MVP, a ten-time all-star, and he's not going away anytime soon.

Ps. He's the No. 3 highest paid athlete of 2014 and the World's most valuable sports brand, according to Forbes.

2. Tom Brady

Brady, 37, has a chance to win his fourth Super Bowl on February 1st. The two-time Super Bowl MVP and league MVP is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play.

Ps. He's married to one of the most famous Victoria's Secret Angels, Gisele Bundchen, who is very, very wealthy.

1. Mike Trout

Yes, Mike Trout is No. 1

Trout, who is from Millville, NJ, is just 23-years-old. In three seasons, Trout already has three all-star game appearances, one all-star game MVP, an AL Rookie of the Year award, and an AL MVP award.

In March of 2014, Trout signed a six-year deal worth $144.5 million. That means, he'll sign another deal before he's 30-years-old which will be worth as much as you and I can dream of.

Honorable mention: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Clayton Kershaw
