Phillies Sign RHP Jeanmar Gomez To Add To Relief Battle
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Monday, the Phillies added another arm to the arsenal of pitchers that will battle for a spot on the 2015 roster. The team agreed to a minor-league deal with right handed relief pitcher Jeanmar Gomez.
Gomez, 26, will take part in major-league camp with the Phillies as he will compete for a spot in the bullpen.
In 2014, Gomez posted a 3.19 ERA over 62 innings pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
