Del. Man Arrested After Allegedly Using Grandma's Debit Card Then Trying To Apologize On Facebook
HARRINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware say a man was arrested after illegally using his grandmother's debit card then apologizing to her on Facebook.
In November 2014, the Harrington Police Department was reportedly contacted by the victim, who said her grandson, 24-year-old Mark A. Parker, took her debit card and used it at several locations. Parker also allegedly took checks from the victim and cashed them by forging the victim's signature.
After the initial thefts, Park reportedly contacted the victim on Facebook and apologized.
At that point, the victim contacted police and reported the contact.
On Dec. 29, 2014, police arrested Parker and charged him with one count of Forgery 2nd Degree, one count of Conspiracy Second Degree, one count of Theft under $1,500, four counts of unlawful use of a credit card, four counts of Theft by False Pretense under $1,500 and five counts of Criminal Impersonation.
Parker was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $18,000 secured bond.
