3 On Your Side: How To Send Last-Minute Holiday Greetings

By Jim Donovan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Did time just run out for you to get your greeting cards in the mail this holiday? Well you're not alone.

If you're among those that just couldn't get your act together, that doesn't mean it's time to give up on sharing some holiday cheer.   You still have a few hours to go and here are a few ways you can send out a greeting.

If you're looking for a traditional-style holiday card sent in a non-traditional way, Just Wink is a web service and app that allows you to create humorous digital greetings. Pick a card style, include a message, add a photo - or not, and send your free creation to friends via email, Facebook or text message.

On SmileBox.com you download the design software onto your computer. Then, choose from hundreds of free holiday cards or pay a bit more for the premium styles. Card designs range from simple one-photo messages to animated slideshows with music.  Whatever you choose, your emailed card is sure to stand out from its paper competitors.

Finally, truly create a custom digital card with Martha Stewart's free Craft Studio app for the iPad.  Upload a photo and in true Martha fashion, you can embellish it with an endless supply of virtual glitter, cutouts, stamps and other decorations.  Share via email, Facebook or Twitter.
