Police ID Suspect In West Philadelphia Arson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police have identified a suspect in connection to a suspicious fire in West Philadelphia last week.

The fire and explosion happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 5400 block of West Girard Avenue on Dec. 17, 2014.

Though the male and female occupants of the home were initially trapped on the porch roof, no one was injured.

The house was damaged, and two adjoining properties also suffered some damage.

After investigators determined the fire was the result of arson, an investigation revealed 43-year-old Shawn King, of the 5700 block of Arch Street, as the suspect.

Anyone with information on King's whereabouts should call police.
