Man Shot Dead Inside Car In West Oak Lane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a man while he was sitting inside his car in Northwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday along the 1000 block of East Horter Street near Finley Playground in the West Oak Lane section of the city.

Witnesses told police the suspect opened fire on the 23-year-old victim after an argument.

Police are checking surveillance cameras in the area in an effort to identify the shooter.

The shooting remains under investigation.
