Social Media Advice Guru Brings Book Tour To Philadelphia

By Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- A Camden county native whose advice for women is closely followed on Social Media is out with a new book to help women unlock their personal and professional potential.

Sophia Nelson grew up in Lawnside and became a lawyer and lobbyist. Her latest book is continuing her message of transformation.

"Simply put, 'The Woman Code' is this, I'm telling women everything they need to win at life is already inside of them," Nelson explained. "Stop looking for validation in your relationships, stop looking for validation in your image and start working from the inside out and taking care of you."

The Woman Code is a broken into five sections that cover a woman's personal, emotional, spiritual, professional and relational experiences.

"Some of them start with knowing your value- code #1, code #6: guard your heart which is right out of scripture - Proverbs 4:23. Code #7: being resilient, code #17: lifting other women as you climb," she said.

Nelson is very active across various social media platforms under the handle @IamSophiaNelson.

She says she learned these codes from her grandmother, her faith, and over 20 years of being a professional.

The Woman Code is in stores now and Nelson's book tour stops in Philadelphia tonight at the Rittenhouse Square Barnes and Noble.
