Hillary Clinton Campaigns For Tom Wolf In Philadelphia

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Early Thursday evening hundreds of folks packed into the National Constitution Center for a campaign event supporting Pennsylvania Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf.

But as KYW's Justin Udo reports, the night belonged to former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The lines wrapped around the National Constitution Center, but after the crowd finally packed in, there was not an empty seat in the house.

When Clinton took the stage, the audience burst into a thunderous applause.

"Pennsylvanians have a choice and a chance. A chance to say we can do better, we can be great again, we can dream again because when America is at its best, there are no limits to what we can achieve together," she said.

During her 15 minute rally cry, Clinton touted her Pennsylvania roots and made several references to her newborn granddaughter.

"You should not have to be the grandchild of a President to get a good education, get good healthcare, have good job opportunities," she said.

Clinton wasn't the only Democratic heavy hitter who made an appearance. Senator Bob Casey Jr. was on hand as well as former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell.
