CBS Renews "Under the Dome" and "Extant" For Summer 2015

“Under The Dome” is coming back!

Fans should be thrilled to hear that CBS’ hit series “Under The Dome” will return for broadcast in summer 2015 along with newcomer “Extant.”

Both series, from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, saw success in their ratings this summer, raking in 11 million viewers for  “Under The Dome” and 8.64 million viewers for the Halle Berry-powered “Extant.”

"We're committed to delivering our viewers and advertisers year-round programming with a wide variety of storytelling," said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment. "We continue to see summer as a great place for unique concepts, innovative business models and passionate television audiences."

Next summer is shaping up to be as exciting as this one’s with “Under the Dome” and “Extant” joining reality hit “Big Brother” and previously announced freshman series “Zoo,” a drama based on James Patterson’s bestselling novel.

Now, you just have to make it through the winter.
