According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for sales managers is projected to grow 8 percent from 2012 to 2022, and most have a bachelor's degree with some work experience in sales.

What is your educational background?

"My background is in culinary arts and I have a degree from Southern New Hampshire University."

What is your background in management?

"I have been in electronics retail management for 15 years. When I first graduated I went into restaurant management for two years before making the switch to retail. After managing a local shop for two years, I saved up enough money and bought my first Wireless Zone, which I still manage and operate today."

How has your education fueled your management success?

"I think the multi-tasking skills you learn from managing a kitchen for a restaurant absolutely translates well to the retail world. When working in a restaurant you learn very quickly how to make alternate decisions on the fly."

What advice would you give someone who is pursuing a career in business management?

"It's really important for managers to have great people skills. I would recommend investing both in your staff and community members, this will make you run your business even more effectively."
