Check Those Pockets! $1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In NJ Set To Expire Next Month

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – Clean out those junk drawers and check your pockets, a Powerball ticket worth $1,000,000 is set to expire on October 23, 2014, according to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

The ticket was sold on October 23 of last year and the winning numbers are: 03-23-31-34-47 and the red Powerball number is 13.

The winning ticket must match the five white balls.

Hedinger says, "A California player won the jackpot prize of $213.4 million from the Oct. 23, 2013 drawing. Perhaps the New Jersey Lottery player didn't bother to check their ticket when they heard that the jackpot was won by an out-of-state player."

The ticket was purchased in Monmouth County at Kwik Farms on 590 Shrewsbury Ave. in Tinton Falls.

If you are holding the winning ticket you should immediately sign the back and contact Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5801 or visit a New Jersey Lottery retailer to validate the ticket.
