Philadelphia Police Officer Facing Charges For Alleged Domestic Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police officer was arrested Thursday on domestic assault charges.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey says 30-year-old Officer Joseph Griffin, an eight-year-veteran of the force, has been suspended with intent to dismiss.
Griffin is charged with physically assaulting his wife. The charges against him include terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of a child, intimidation of a victim and recklessly endangering another person.
The investigation was conducted by the Police Internal Affairs Bureau and the District Attorney's Office.
