Twitter tests ability to buy things from tweets

Twitter has formally announced, it's testing a "Buy Now" button. Users will be able to shop from select merchants and artists without leaving the social network. Sellers include brands like (RED), Burberry and Home Depot to artists like Pharell and Demi Lavato, as well as nonprofits like GLAAD.

Twitter is partnering with e-commerce sites Fancy, Gumroad, Musictoday, and Stripe, an online payments service, to process transactions with "just a few taps."

Ice Bucket Challenge tops Harlem Shake on YouTube

YouTube has announced videos related to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge have reached 1 billion views, topping the "Harlem Shake" meme of 2013.

"With about double the uploads and three times as many views compared to the Harlem Shake, the Ice Bucket Challenge has turned into its own meme", YouTube said.

"Ice Bucket Challenge" was the top rising YouTube search globally in August.

Videos showcasing people dumping ice water on their heads have been uploaded from 150 countries.

"Fancy" crowned the song of summer by YouTube

Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" tops YouTube's songs of summer list.

It was the most-streamed video from Memorial Day to Labor Day on the network.  Jason Derulo - "Wiggle" (feat. Snoop Dogg), Ariana Grande – "Problem", and Magic! – "Rude" also made the list.

Surprisingly, Psy's "Gangnam Style" finished No. 5 this summer, two years after its release.
