Elderly Woman Hit By Train Near Septa's Overbrook Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Septa officials say an elderly woman was hit on the train tracks near the Overbrook Station this afternoon.

It happened about 1:30pm on the inbound Regional Rail tracks, near the station.

A Septa spokesman confirmed someone was hit.  The victim, identified only as a 73-year-old woman, was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was listed in critical condition.

There are delays of up to 20 minutes on the Paoli-Thorndale line because of this incident.
