Robin Williams Found Dead In Calif. Home
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Oscar winning actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead of an apparent suicide in his Tiburon, California home Monday, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office, CBS San Francisco reports.

Williams played a big role in the CBS family this past TV season starring in "The Crazy Ones." CBS 3 anchor Ukee Washington had a cameo on the show April 17th. The show was taped in February.
Washington shared some memories of his time with Williams.
"Robin was so accommodating on that show, as were everybody, everybody on that cast really was. They all looked at him as a father, because he was the father of television, the father of comedy, and I'm sure they are all devastated right now," Washington said.

On Monday, Washington said, "What a talent...what a caring man. I was honored to experience his genius during many interview sessions.. and he related to me...as he did for all he met...as if a bonding friendship existed and had been around for years. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends in and out of the industry. I am lost for words...something Robin never was. He will be truly missed and never forgotten."
CBS released a statement on Williams:
"Our world has lost a comic genius, a gifted actor and a beautiful man. We will remember Robin Williams as one of the unique talents of his time who was loved by many, but also as a kind, caring soul, who treated his colleagues and co-workers with great affection and respect. Our heartfelt thoughts and sympathies go out to his family, loved ones and friends."
President Barack Obama also released a statement on his passing:
Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets. The Obama family offers our condolences to Robin's family, his friends, and everyone who found their voice and their verse thanks to Robin Williams.
From everyday fans to professional comics, word of Williams' death is hitting hard across the Delaware Valley.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Dead Poets Society." The movie was filmed at Saint Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. The school released the following statement:
"Along with the rest of the world, St. Andrew's mourns the death of Robin Williams.
A large part of the genius that was Robin Williams emerged from his audience's belief that this man connected with us, knew us, celebrated us, lived with us, laughed with us.
Robin Williams came to our campus and community as a teacher, John Keating, a man seeking to disrupt the tyranny of an outmoded and destructive eduction system by appealing to the power of literature and the inherent passion and energy of youth. We found inspiration from his depiction of a revolutionary and passionate classroom teacher, but we who were on campus in those days were so struck in particular by the grace of Peter Weir and the spirit and vitality of Robin Williams. Together, Weir and Williams saw their vision unfold in the beauty of St. Andrew's pond, buildings, and fields.
Our school for those months lived and worked with an appreciation for these artists among us who worked very hard to assert human goodness and creativity. In the center of this power and energy was of course, Robin Williams."
