Anglers Compete For $100K Prize In Bassmaster Tournament

By Steve Patterson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Some of the world's best anglers were up bright and early on the Delaware River Saturday morning for the 2014 Bassmaster Tournament.

The tournament is going on all weekend. Early Saturday, 50 boats headed out onto the River to compete for a $100,000 prize. Those 50 boats are what remain from the 100 that started the competition on Thursday, and on Sunday only 12 boats will compete for the grand prize.

In the afternoon, the anglers meet at Penn's Landing, each with five fish that will be weighed to determine who advances.

As of Saturday morning, New Jersey's Michael Iaconelli leads the standings.

This is the first time the event has taken place in Philadelphia.
