PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The stubborn weather pattern that kept skies mostly cloudy with a few showers this weekend will begin to break for the work week.

Expect partly sunny skies to return for Monday and the temperatures will warm back up into the mid 80s.

Tuesday will be even warmer and a bit humid with highs in the upper 80s with some sunshine.

The next best chance for some showers and storms will return Wednesday afternoon, as a cold front approaches.  Behind the front, a cooler and less humid air mass returns for late week.

Tropical Storm Bertha continues to spin near the Bahamas tonight and will eventually turn to the north then northeast.  The track will remain off well off the East Coast as it heads north this week.  There will be a bit of an increase in waves on Tuesday & Wednesday along with some stronger rip currents at area beaches.
